Right, I'm thinking of a VW-powered Spit, built of wood and fabric, like a Taylor Monoplane in many ways. It'd be built from the same materials, but just be more Spitfire shaped. An 1834cc up front, with fixed gear (as I don't like the idea of forgetting to lower my wheels!).

Dimensions:

Wingspan - 19' 3"
Length - 16' 6"
Height - 4'
