    Fike Model E

    Hey Guys,

I'm looking for plans for the Fike Model E. I can't seem to find anything on the net.

    Thanks

Haven't seen a Fike in a long time. Not sure where one might be found these days.

My dad had a Fike Model E. Really was a nice airplane to fly. Extremely overbuilt. Sold it about 4 years ago and I believe there was a set of plans that went with it. You could check the Canadian D.O.T. registry for C-GRSM and get in contact with the current owner.

Ignore this post. I was getting the Fike E mixed up with the Lacey M-10. Had to delete my comments, but can't figure out how to delete the whole post.
I had commented about the $8 plans price and the ten-cent info pack, thinking it was the Fike. It was the Lacey. 40 years ago, and the memory plays tricks.

    Re: Fike Model E

That's ok Dan, at least you tried to help me.

A few weeks ago I read my copy of Practical Lightplane Design and Construction by W.J. Fike.
It's a small but interesting book.
I am interested in the one piece catilever wing of geodedic wood construction.
The Fike Model E is stall resistant and has good stol performance.
I am interested in low aspect ratio wings.
