Hi All, this is my first post so be gentle. :) I am in the beginning stages of building a Pietenpol. The Piet is typically built out of wood but an option for a steel tube fuselage is available and I will likely go that route. I would also like to build the tail feathers out of steel tube but only plans for a wood-framed tail are available. Therefore, I'm contemplating using the Corben Junior or Baby Ace tail construction techniques to build my Piet tail. My thought is to start with a set of Corben plans and modify the tail size and shape to match the Piet design. The Corben plans would also provide a starting point for tubing diameters and wall thicknesses. Your comments are solicited. Thanks, Harvey
