I'm interested in building a Bearhawk. Since I'm not an experienced builder I believe a quick build kit is my best option. However I came across a Bearhawk fuselage for sale that was built from plans. The builder passed away and his wife is selling it but she has little information about it.

If I knew that he workmanship was good then it would be a good deal. So I'm wondering if there are individuals (or companies) that I could bring the fuselage to who could really verify/test the quality and accuracy of the work? I don't mean simply if the welding work is quality but if the whole frame is structurally sound. Is that something that could be determined relatively easily?

Thanks.
