Tandemwings and CG range

Focussing on tandemwings lately. And ... it still puzzles me. Tandemwings are labeled as being able to take more CG range, but ... Flying Fleas are very sensitive to CG placement. A bit too much backwards and you get in trouble. The Stileto by Ligetti also dropped due a CG too far backwards and elevons over entire wing.
Can somebody guide me to good reading about stability in tandemwings with large CG range or tell me in non-engineer formulas about this. I hope to better understand in all types of tandemwings.
