In the 1933 Flying Manual and specifically the Longster, the steel tube measurements don't include inside diameter as far as I can see. It's like 1 inch 20 gauge or 5/8 inch 22 gauge. When I look this up on charts it seems there is a range of ID (wall thickness). Example 5/8 in. 22 GA .029-.058 (example only). Or is the gauge simply the wall thickness? Can anyone clear this up? onder:
Would this chart work for chrome moly? https://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/scales/sheetmetal.html
