Hello all, my name is matt and i live up near the Florida/Ga line about 46 miles N.E.. of Jaxonville. Have always loved aviation but it seems as though there was always something in the way of me doing much about it. as I get older and realize that more time is going past me than there is coming i think I'd better get off my butt and fix that issue. I really want to build an Aerodome Aeroplanes 80% Fokker D-VII but it seems like a big project to start off with so I am considering an ultralight to get in the air with while I gear up for the Fokker. I am a bigger guy ( 6'01" 250lb) so I am a little concerned with size and weight. currently studying the Legal Eagle, Affordaplane, airbike types, and a Aerolite 103. I may just buy something used to fly whale the fFkker project becomes realized. I live on a good sized cow farm so a small private field and hanger setup is completely possible, we also have several local airports to use ( although hangar rental is non-existent from what I'm told).
Look forward to this journey and meeting some of you in the future. until then I'll read as much as I can....
