The LA-3 was a design of Mr. Jerry Lawhorn of Alaska (of LA-2 Kee Bird fame).
It was a twin engine (two McCollogh wingmounted engines), parasol wing aircraft and a 3-view drawing appeared in Janes All The World Aircraft in the 1960s.
The FAA register shows it as N405L, built in 1961, certificated 1970 and that the registration was revoked. In the FAA Register N405L is in the name of another gentleman (also in Alaska), which leads me to believe that the LA-3 did exist in some form.
Does anyone know whether the LA-3 was actually built (or at least started) and do photos exist.
Thank you for your help and greetings from The Netherlands.
Walter
