I came across this interesting project while looking more information on the DGEN-380/390 turbofan. JSP Project It uses aerodynamics of the Vulcan C-100 (EASA-regulation) ultralight and looks mighty interesting little jet. IT does fly a bit slow and low for a jet, but it shouldn't be as much of a issue as with traditional turbofans, as the engine is optimized for general aviation flight domain (>250 kts and >15 kft). Now, there are few problems I can see; first, Corivi was merged with Sabaviation a while back, which usually means axing such branch projects. Also the engine price range is probably going to be between 150k-200k USD, based on the projected price of 720k -1.2M for twin-engined 4/5 seater jet. There's a lot riding on the development on the small aviation market in the few next years. However, unlike with eg. Pratt & Whitney Canada and pwc615, Price Induction recognizes amateur sector as client base, and hopefully offers a lower-cost non-certified engine for experimental aircraft. A jet like this would be very much a game changer.
