I'm looking for owner experiences of Valley Engineering's Backyard flyer. I read the previous posts from several years ago but hoping for better, more current information.

I'm an experienced builder and aviator. I took the time to fill out my profile page so I'm not going to retype everything here. I completed my last project in 1997, prior to knowing much about the internet so this is my first time using this "tool". I hope I don't regret it.

The research is not for me but for a former student who can now only fly under part 103 and is looking for something STOL, trailer-able would be nice, and that looks and flies similar to the Champion he learned in.

I like the fuselage design. Has anyone looked inside the wing? Anyone flown it that has experience in an Aeroneca? Would love to hear from you!

Thanks!
