Built an Avid Heavy hauler in'89-90 (594) flew on floats/skis/wheels for a cple years. Sold share, moved north. 28 years later, a fellow "Ham" called me up and said "I just bought an Avid Heavy Hauler you built." !. It needed some work , tail wheel missing, new covering, upholstery, windows,,,,,,.. Then last year he called again, asking if I wanted to buy it, as he could not afford to fix it up. Of course I set yes at the price he asked. So built a lean to in a hurry to keep it from the sometimes extreme winter WX here. Replacing all the windows , and slowly gathering all the bits and pieces I will need to fix her up. Man alive, has stuff gone up in 30 years ! Soon as Wx warms up, going to pull the 582, get in shop and pull it down, it only has 170 hrs, but want to ck seals, piston wear etc'. Hopefully back in the air this summer,,,
