I'm putting the wings together on my Super Baby Great Lakes. The plans say to use two small sheets of aluminum outboard of the last rib to form the leading edges at the wing tip bows. They say to blend the front edges of those to the wing tip bow (a 5/8" aluminum tube), then put "fiberglass tape" over the two pieces of aluminum where they lie against the front of the bow. I hope that makes sense (it barely does to me).

Question: what kind of fiberglass tape are the instructions talking about? Strapping tape? Is that basically to hold the aluminum in place until the fabric goes on? Those two aluminum sheets will be riveted to the main leading edge sheet and nailed to the spar, so those two areas will give lots of strength.

Thanks,
Jay
