Having reached the final stretch to my KR2, I have been doing some, or should I say alot of decision making on my next build I have decided to try and mount a 2 cyl. inline diesel engine on my Taylor mono, the plan is to invert it like the Wilksch power plant and run it direct drive. the research I've done and the donation of the engine has got the ball rolling. I was given a Izuzu 2.2 lt. 4 cyl. and a 2 cyl diesel engine and what I have found the 2 cyl runs in the 40 hp range at 2900 rpm. with minor mod's. The Taylor flew with a power plant in the 35-40 hp in the beginning, up graded later to 1500 VW+ up. This all may be a wet dream but by gosh it's worth a try. and I'm also going to make the Taylor M look as close to a Spitfire as poss. Don
