Ran across this on Youtube while getting my pre-weekend motivational fix, hoping to keep me moving toward my aviation goals this weekend. These old gliders may not perform as well as today's craft but these old 16mm films, IMHO, capture the elegance of the classics. It's also apparent that these pioneer glider pilots really enjoyed what they were doing.

Lots of shots of classic gliders in flight, narrated with a bunch of historical tidbits. Even if classic gliders aren't one of your primary interests I think any pilot will find this series of 11 Youtube videos from 1950's film fascinating.
