Chinook Pup. What are the pros and cons of the design choices in this new Part 103 plane?

It's using a Kawasaki 340 engine. The engine mounting location is unlike other 103 designs, necessitating a propeller that looks also unlike others...

I'm curious as to what benefits there may be to put the engine this far aft and using propellers this small?
