Hey all
So my fuselage Male plug (Masonite cross sections with shaped foam) is almost done but as the time passed I am now not looking forward to making full female molds, gelcoat, chopped strand etc etc. I did build the plug to final dimension but my question is if I can accept a bit of variance in my final dimension can I just pull a one-off part off my plug? Is it feasible to layup 2 layers of cloth on the plug, remove the part from the plug then prepare and layup glass and foam on the inside of the part? Although it may be some labor I would save the female mold step and probably a few thousand dollars.... Can I kinda do it like this ? Cowling
Thanks!!
