I have considered building an aircraft from wood. I am a carpenter of over 20 years. I have also worked as an autobody man and a welder/pipefitter in the NAVY so I know metalwork also. I built a 15' sailboat from plans so I'm pretty sure I could do it.

What are some good sources for plans? How long would a project like this take roughly? I imagine it would be a lot cheaper?
