Not sure if I posted these, but the E III Rudder is about done... I bent the tube and filled it with sand first to avoid crimping it... made two plywood jigs, one 24 inches around and one half that. Picked up the cheap rivet gun at Harbor Freight, recommended by Robert Baslee (who told me when I met him on Wednesday) that the sand was unnecessary for the bend. Maybe, but I wanted to be sure... anyway took about 4 hours to this point and maybe a couple more to finish it. I'm building the E III just for fun while I grind my way slowly for the Morin M-85


My fist aluminum riveting job... pretty easy.
