Exclamation Re: Zipster Biplane Plans now availaible on CD for $25!

I was ready to buy a FULL kit for the Zipster with the Pre-welded fuselage. I liked the price and the plane is JUST what I have been waiting for. HOWEVER the build video is overdue and I have yet to see a single person online who is actually building the neat looking little beast.

The Hart Aero website no longer offers anything other than plans and AN hardware and covering materials! I suspect I had better order my plans before they stop offering it altogether!

Too bad I really like this design.

Well! I just got a VERY prompt answer for Heart Aero (GOOD for them!) as follows:

    Hi Gary,

We're currently in the process of putting 12 kits together as we
speak. As we are making up each part/section we are getting good numbers
for sub-kits, pre-welded etc... look for a very nice breakdown in the
next 2 weeks on our website for sub-kits/raw kits/quick build kits.

Please let us know if you have anymore questions or need anything
    else.

    Sincerely,
    Doug Hart

    Latest communication for Hart Aero

    Hi Gary,

The sub-kits and pricing information are nearly complete for the
    Zipster.

We plan to release all of this information(detailed) along with
pricing by the end of this next week on our website.

I have also made a few design changes for simplicity and lightening
(without sacrificing integrity) that will allow us to use our Honda 24hp
4-stroke conversion and stay under 245lbs. Prototype is being built now
with the changes and will be flying this summer.

We also have a customer that is finishing his Zipster in the EAB
category with a Valley Engineering "Big Twin". It should also be
completed and flying in the next few months.

Please let us know if you have anymore questions or need anything
    else.

    Sincerely,
    Doug Hart

Re: Zipster Biplane Plans now availaible on CD for $25!

Just to close out this thread with good information the designer of the Zipster (Ed Fisher) STRONGLY DISAGREES with any and everything Doug Hart says about this airplane. Hart claims +6-5 g loading Ed tellsme the correct figures are +5-2.8. Hart says you can use an engine up to 80 pounds and if you can (somehow) save 25 pounds (NOT possible) you can fit it with a "big twin". NONE of this is true. The weight of the engine should be no more than 45 pounds. If you save 25 pounds somehow an 80 pound engine will still take you WAY OVER 254 part 103 weight. (35 POUNDS over)

Hart claimed that he had 25 kits "ready to go" then he was selling the rights to the Zipster and NOT NOT NOT offering any of those kits along with the copyright. (The kits never existed). I nearly sent MONEY to Hart Aero for a full kit. Am I ever glad I found antihartaero and learned the truth before losing all of my savings and my dream of flight!

The plans are not currently available. I find this odd because I'm pretty sure Doug still owns the rights and I KNOW he needs money for his legal defense. After all he has a lot if charges he is defending himself from.

The zipster is a very pretty little plane and I would still love to build one. Perhaps after I'm finished with my Roger Mann RW-9 Motor Bipe (ONE hundred and fifty hour build) I will start the 1000-1500 hour build Zipster. I will call it a Raceair Zipster and would never insult Ed Fisher or the Zipster by identifying it with Hart Aero.
