How much maneuverability are control bar hang glider trainers lacking vs a 3 axis glider? If my goal is just to circle around a thermal and look at the ground below, and not do loops, would I be missing much by not having 3 axis? To hang gliders spin out more easily than 3 axis?

I don't know if this is a good forum. I searched for hang gliding forums, and did not find much. Maybe they have less to tinker with or talk about.
