Does anyone know about the use of mylar covering for ultralight sailplanes/gliders like the Sandlin Goats? I know some of the early powered UL's used it but I haven't seen or heard of it being used recently. Would it be practical for a Sandlin Goat? What thickness might work and how about adhesives? Seems like a good way to shed a few pounds. Haven't started the build yet, just thinking about various ways to "improve" the bird. I plan to trailer the airplane with only the wings and cabane removed so road hazards won't be a problem.(It'll be enclosed) Fewer things to forget when making ready to fly too. davidlee
