noticed that almost no one is using thermal barrier coatings on piston tops, or cylinder head combustion chambers. any reason for this not being used? same as coatings on bearings and piston sides? these coatings available from swain tech or callico coatings have proven themselves in the high hp honda's i build. shouldn't see any reason why they wouldn't work in a low rpm continuous duty air craft engine conversion.
