How does a guy get away with this? And how do builders get these almost-read-to-fly airplanes certified as "amateur" built? Anyone who has built 28 RVs is not an amateur.

I don't know where I stand on this; on the one hand I have no problem with anyone building and selling airplanes and making a profit. It's honest work and fulfills a demand and I don't see it being any kind of safety issue. On the other hand, it could cause problems for all of us in the long run when people flaunt the intent and spirit of the laws we operate under.
