In order to do a lot of aerobatics and inverted flight, the engines have to be setup for it so that the engine doesn't suffer fuel/oil starvation. How do warbirds do aerobatics and inverted flight? Are the engines in surviving warbirds modded to have these aerobatic systems, or was the Merlin (for example) designed with that type of system out of the factory?
