I'm interested in purchasing an aircraft that the seller estimates to be around 95% complete. He is the third owner and hasn't done much with it since he purchased it. He doesn't have the builders log or chain of ownership documents. Has anyone here had to remedy a similar situation or does anyone know of a way to work around this problem? I called the EAA help line and they basically said it was only worth parts without the paperwork.
