I'm Craig Wilcox, I live in south FLorida, and am very active in our local EAA chapter. I am currently building my 6th airplane, a Bakeng Duce. I am a tech counselor with EAA, and love to visit airplane projects.
The Duce is an interesting project, completely built from plans, with steel tube fuse, wood wing, and steel empennage. The whole thing is fabric covered, except from the pilot's seat forward, which has aluminum skin.
The airplane is currently up on the gear, all electrics, hydraulics, and fuel things done, fuselage and empennage covered waiting on paint. Next step is to cover the wings, and begin to bring everything together.
