My project (USA based) will be able to use the NX prefix as it will be considered a "replica" of a 30 year old home built.

After it has flown enough to establish a good baseline for comparison I intent to modify it in such a way that it will no longer be considered a "replica". It will not then have the same external configuration as I'm considering a significant landing gear change.

My question is: At this point do I need to remove the X from the NX and use a conventional "Experimental" notification near the entrance, or may I continue to use the NX prefix?
