Hey guys,

I'm designing a ~70-75% Dornier Do-335 for fun (If its good enough, I might even build it one day). I've never seen anyone build a flying replica, so it'll definitely be unique...

I've done some preliminary sizing, mostly in my head and with comparisons, and come up with:

1. Wingspan and length of 30-32 ft.
2. Empty weight of ~4000lb (not 400lb).
3. Powered by 2 converted auto PSRU engine (probably Chevy Big Block), 350-500hp each.
4. At least operating 6g load factor for aerobatics.
5. Metal and/or composite construction.
6. Single seat with a 2 seat "convertible" option (second seat like in 2 seater 335)

So I'm going to start by drawing the thing up in CAD to the desired configuration, finding the aerodynamic qualities of the thing, then move on to final structural design.

I started off with just sources I got off the internet:

And...thats what have so far.
