So, I've been thinking that maybe I'd try and do some 'wind tunnel' type tests on a design I've been banging around. I've noticed an increase in water tunnel type products and for the Re that I'm looking at testing in, I'm thinking a water tunnel might be the answer? I could build a re-circ wind tunnel [even know where I'd get the fan's etc and have a 'spare' motor that I could use to drive it all..] but the size of the tunnel would need to be fairly large [$$] vs doing the same tests in a water tunnel. However, I'm not sure how accurate a water tunnel test is vs a 1/4 scale wind tunnel [or more likely a 1/8 scale]..
Anyone have an opinion..?
The one thing I haven't seen [haven't looked tooo hard for it yet] is the K number that would be used to calculate my Re accurately.
I do plan to do 1/4 or scale model tests [Rc] but thats after getting down to the finer points [at least thats how I see it]..
Just kinda thinking out loud at this point..
