The CEO of Revolution Rotary Engines asked me this question. Can someone answer it definitively?

"A quick question. ASTM certification for SLA applications. Are the
manufacturers required to use ASTM certified engines? What are the
minimum and maximum sizes that need to be, or may be, certified? Should,
say, our 451 engine at 60 HP be ASTM certified?, What about an R602 at
180 HP?"
