I received this email from a man that contacted me last in 2004 about the Simonini engine. I post this for information only for those who may be interested.

Lynn,

I was Googleing and ran across you on the Zenair STOL CH 701 Photo Gallery
page. I was wondering, how you and your engine is doing?

Since I last wrote to you in 2004, I have moved to central eastern Indiana.
I flew the FireFly up from southeastern Missouri. Had a little problem on
the way. I have worked hard on getting the Bing needle matched to the
Victor 1+, the Ivo prop, and the FireFly combination. At this point the
Victor 1+ has 180 hours on it. It is running very well. I have been able
to make some changes that has allowed me to approach the gph values on
Simonini's published fuel consumption chart. My last change has been to add
an in cockpit fuel air mixture control. On average it has reduced fuel
consumption by 15%. By being able to hold EGT constant, I have no gph
surprises.

Hope you are having fun.
