I am a novice in the feild of aviation maintenance and interested in learning the art of wood. I would like to find a small reasonably inexpensive project in order to learn. A friend suggested that I build a simple horizontal stab and then cover it, just to show me the ropes. My question then is where would I start? Where could I buy materials for such a project? Obviously it would not have to be airworthy which may save me a little money. But I would not want that to cut into experience gained. Im pretty new to this stuff and very interested so any advice you guys can share is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Derek
