6060 grade aluminum for fuse? No welding?

A quick question...

Does anyone know if an aircraft that does not have a welded steel fuse, but instead 6060 riveted aluminum - no welding anywhere on the fuse, not even for the undercarriage, etc...is this a strong enough construction?
