Greetings everyone!

I'm not new to aviation, but lately have been thinking I should bring my skills as an aircraft mechanic to actually building a plane.

I have been a crew chief on the C-130s in the Air Force for the last 10 years. Homebuilding looks like the best / most economical way to start into owning my own aircraft.

I'll be taking lessons after this deployment, and hopefully getting my private license shortly.

What are your guys' favorite design or ideas?

I am looking into the Raptor-aircraft, I see some maintenance-related items that could do for a slightly better design, but am closely watching the development.

Can't wait to hear from you guys!
