I am routing the RG-400 cable for the LightSpeed Plasma III ignition system and I need to cut it to length.

I have the cut part figured out however the trimming and connecting part I am unsure of.

Is there any tips/tricks to cut this cable and then pull out the center conductor to a spade terminal and then connect the stranded outer shield wire together to form the second conductor to the spade terminal? The shielding can be fragile and I want to ensure it actually works when I am done with it.

I’m sure I can “wing it” however I would prefer to learn from others mistakes…err…make that “experience” and try to do it right the first time and therefore avoid using multiple bad words to get this job accomplished.

THANKS for the help!!!
