Hello, everybody. I am hangglider pilot, fly on the Aeros Phantom and as a homework slowly move to the direction of caged stick control plane based on Phantom type wing.
The conception of a conventional tailed sailplane is discussed well is in the parallel thread.
As for my opinion, I think that terms foldable and footlaunchable are connected by most easy, optimal and straightway with the conception of the tailless plane.
Yes, the experience of Archaeopteryx shows that tailed sailplane in this category is possible.
But I mean the plane which most of the people who prefer supine stick control flight could afford.
That would be interesting to me to know how many adherents of tailless conception in comparison with the tailed one?
