    It has to be to the right specification as well as having correct mill certs.

    The following is from MMPDS-06 (which is unchanged from -01), which when not over thinking it, can be considered to be the list of aerospace 6061-T6 material specifications.

    Other specification may have variations in allowable impurities, both higher & lower tolerances, which can affect various design properties (elongation, yield,strength, weld toughiness, etc).

    If one is really bored you can find the material composition of the various specifications & do a comparison but it can be right painful.
