Just a few things going through my head for a simple panel for a low and slow puddle jumper....

--Are there any particular pros or cons to using 3-1/8" vs. 2-1/4" gauges in general?

--Is there any reason to have an ASI that reads higher than the aircraft Vne?

--Is a 5,500 ft non-sensitive altimeter sufficient if you don't live in the mountains?

--Are there any particular pros or cons to using automotive engine gauges in a VW-powered plane?

--Are there any reasons to use an hourmeter integrated into the tachometer vs. a standalone hourmeter?

Cheers,

Matthew
