I am replacing my old landing lights with newer LEDs and have a question about using the existing wiring. When I contacted the technical department at https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/S2-Pro-LED-Light-Black.asp the guy there told me that I would need a 12 gauge wire to power these if I have close to a 12' run. This seems way too large in my mind but I hate to go against the manufacturer's suggestion. I am not sure of the size of the wire that is currently installed but I doubt it is 12 gauge.

Thoughts?
