A bit off topic, but it does do with aerodynamics and stability of a flying object...

One of my side interests is primitive weapons, from a historical and techninal viewpoint.

More out of curiosity than anything else, I modeled an arrow in XFLR5. Mainly to see if XFLR5 would give reasonable results.

Well, I got this as a result...

In case you can't read it, what it says is "Main Wing: Could not find the wing's foil....Aborting calculation.

Now the airfoil is defined. I am using a NACA 0009 for the fletching (feathers). In the picture, the 'wing' is the two surfaces with anhederal. The third surface is a 'fin'.

Is this because the wing is too small, or what?

[Edit] Never mind. Found the problem. I had the 'wing' defined as non symmetrical, with one half with an undefined airfoil.
