Hi all. Thank you for making this a wonderful source of info. I bought an experimental a couple years ago that was deregistered. I was able to contact the estate, and they agreed to send in paperwork stating I bought it from them. I got a new data plate made, have airworthiness cert, and sent all sort of pictures to the FAA. Every time I sent something, they would want something else. Well, they finally reissued an N-number, but stated they would not register it in my name until the estate sent a different document in. Well, the estate was very gracious in helping me before, but has made it clear that was a one-time thing. I can't blame them not will I push them. Oft family member had passed, I would not necessarily want th brought up by a stranger.
To the question....is there anything I can do, or is this a paperweight? I would like to get it in the air, but if I can't I will not try to sell it to someone if it cannot be flown legally. I would hate to scrap it, but I think that is my only option at this point, unless you all have any advice I am overlooking. Thank you again.
