Imron peeling from fabric

A friend is thinking about buying a plane which has some peeling Imron, mostly around the tail. The fabric underneath is good, including the silver coat. Is there any feasible way of repairing this? Not show quality, but good enough that the plane isn't an embarrassment when you arrive in it.
