    Looking For Wipline Float Parts

I am rebuilding a set of wrecked Wipline 2100A floats and would like to find an alternate source of raw materials other than the OEM (who only sells finished components $).

This would be items like aluminum angle for stiffeners, chines, the rounded extruded angle for the Gunwalls, Keel stock, etc.

The generic angle can be obtained from Wicks or Aircraft Spruce, but the other extrusions are not as easy to find.

Also, if anyone has any parts (bulkheads, hatch frames, etc.) available from this type of float, I may be interested.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have no idea of who made this, but it may be of interest.

If you can post some pics of what you need it'd be helpful although chances are it may be stuff that they custom make in house.

Have you tried contacting any of the nearby rebuilders to see if they know of sources for these extrusions? I imagine you've been down to the shop on the waterfront and there's also companies like ReCon Air in Geraldton who I believe mostly rebuilds Otters but they may have a line on float components.

A number of extrusion manufactures have profile search engines such as these ones (you will have to apply for a login typically but its no drama),
    https://msaerospacematerials.com/products/aircraft_extrusion/search-by-dimension/
    http://www.premier-metals.com/aerospace-aluminum-extrusions/

if they don't sell in single lengths, you can often cross reference them to aircraft OEM part numbers (such as Boeing) which numerous companys do tend to sell per length.
