Greetings HBA members,
In trying to figure out all the details ( and there are a ton of them! ) of my project, TLAR, i have some conflicting info about the use of Microballons.
Some info says to first apply a micro slurry down on foam, in an attempt to keep the part light, then lay down the glass and apply the resin.
Other info says Microballons are never to be used in a layup, because glass beads are non structural. I want to use non closed cell foam (the cheap stuff) blue dow.
My question, should i slurry first or not?
Ben
