Glad to have another aerobatic enthusiast here.

Question for you: The factory specs show that the 100 HP Rotex version weighs 100 pounds more (empty as well as gross) than the two stroke engine version, but both have the same limit load favtors, +6 / -4 g.

What differences are there in the structure?

    Thanks,

    BJC

If I'm not mistaken, the Italian Simonini 2-stroke engines (Victor 2 Plus/Super??) make over 100HP in the same size/weight category as the Rotax 582. Might be a way to get more oomph without a large weight gain?

What sort of cost could I get one of those engines for?

Has anyone ever considered using a zr600 snowmobile engine with a redrive?

I am actually unsure of that. I started digging into it but haven't really found much yet.
