I tend to collect things. It's an illness.

An acquaintance of an acquaintance has a himax fuselage sitting in his basement that was built a few years ago. I can get it for under $400, probably 250-300 then put it in storage.

I'm fine with that, I'm concerned with the wood. I assumed these were all built with Sitka Spruce or Doug Fir, but was told some have pine components? Is this true?

They guy who built it has his head on straight but I'm concerned about using mixed material. Has anyone ever heard of using 1/4 sawn pine?
