Hi I am repairing a spar from a zenair and just need to replace 1 of the cap strips (mis-drilled hole which wont meet edge distance),

My question is the design calls for 6061 for all capstrips but the other capstrips on the spar are currently 2024 (a choice made quite a few years ago due to material availability). Now i can only get the correct size material in 6061.

Is it an issue replacing the current 2024 capstrip with 6061 (as per design drawings) when all the other capstrips on the spar are 2024?

Thanks
Nick
