    Continental O-200 EFI

We've been supplying EFI components for these engines for about 20 years. Recently we've been getting more and more quote requests. I've therefore decided to work on a more bolt on solution for these engines so I'm looking for anyone who has an O-200 for sale, preferably in Canada for design and jigging purposes. It does not need to be in running condition.

One of our recent customers is starting installation of our EFI on an O-200 and managed to fit our Lycoming screw-in injector mounts into the O-200 heads with minimal modification. This makes installation easier than the old way.

Some of the parts we develop should also be applicable to O-100 installations.

We have another client also installing on an O-300 engine now. I hope to have some more photos to post here as these two progress.

We have an IO-550 case here now to do some crank sensor mount design on, so that's also in the works.

Looks like you are using the primer port on the engine. Neat!!

I had a oil pressure sending unit break off in a Lyc engine one time. Looks like a lot of suspended weight. Hope you calculated the strength of the threaded end and made heavy wall thickness.

Somewhat exotic, high tensile (145,000 psi) stuff the bases are made from and thick wall too. Been flying on Lycomings for a while now including the Reno Rocket this year. These are the PICO style injectors, much smaller and lighter than the older Bosch EV-1 types.

Eagle EMS direct mounts their injectors into the 1/8 NPT injector ports as well.

The flat spot on the intake elbow would have been a great place to plug the injector, wouldn't it ?
I believe that was their purpose on the (very rare) C85 injection

We find that not all O-200 heads have the primer port drilled so the kit will provide a jig to drill your intake elbows and tap them to take the injector holders. I was working on designing some of the pieces on the weekend.

    Re: Continental O-200 EFI

I've got a prop adapter designed to take a wooden prop we had lying around from a Rotax 912 development project 10 years ago.

Have basic drawings done now for the vacuum pump cover.

Test fitted our Lycoming magneto covers and coil mounts which fit perfectly on the Conti so no need to design new parts there. Ditto on the 14mm spark plug adapters. We'll use the same coil packs and injector mounts as on the Lycomings too.

Our existing 45mm throttle body design will be tweaked slightly in the mounting flange and bolt spacing, to slide over the existing studs on the intake spider.

Worked on the crank sensor mount design a bit.

Should have most of the new designs in CAD early next month if I have the time to keep working on this project.

Have some exhaust flanges on order to fab an exhaust system for the test stand.
