In my effort to simplify, and save weight, I have concluded that the Rudder Bar in place of rudder peddles is much simpler and should be lighter, no springs only one pivot. Perhaps height suited for toe operation only with heels on the floor. The plane will not have tow brakes. Cables will be attached close to the pivot to have reasonable/appropriate movement of operation.

Are there any reasons not to do this I am not aware of.
