I have been a builder/fabricator for sometime but I am having a hard time arriving at the strength/weight savings over a twin boom tail verses a single, larger boom with the same area of control surface .I tried most of the online formulas and got lost. Wouldn't the stress on 2 booms (4" x .049 w) be less than a single boom of 5" x .063 w ? I am working on a 103 legal UL with twin boom pusher with a top load wing. I watched an older Sadler Vampire fly down in Arizona and got the bug to fly again. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and extremely valued. Thanx Marshal
